Idk to me TPAB sacrificed enjoyability of the music for artistic creativity

At the end of the day I can only care so much about how creative a song is or how important the message is, I just want to hear music that feels and sounds good

GKMC will always feel and sound better to me than TPAB

This has been a great year for music, most years are great. You just need to know where to look. And if that doesn't satisfy you there's so much older music in the world in general it's literally impossible not to find something good so it's really not even worth having that discussion.

If you're only keeping up with mainstream rap like a lot of this site does of course you're going to experience dips in quality.

TPAB clears GKMC without a second thought tbh, only contrarians try to make the argument that GKMC is better because TPAB is the hipster “one of the good ones” picks for rap music

TPAB might be genuinely the closest thing to a perfect rap album, all of the constant praise it constantly gets actually takes away from it ironically

This is why I feel they're tied

I can def jump into GKMC way easier and get the exact same depth and narrative complexity as you get on TPAB, but sometimes I wanna listen to the artsy crazy ass s*** he was doing on TPAB and its scope is just a bit bigger than GKMC which is cool at times but def not good for casual listening

GKMC works as a sit-down thoughtful listen and riding music at the same time which is why it's probably his best when all is said and done

each song on there is packed with so much content and substance along with immaculate dynamic production that it’s absurd, the entire project is so emotionally moving too

GKMC is fantastic in itself though, but the few redundant tracks on it along with some weaker production here and there takes it out of the running pretty readily
