Two things can be true

• Most old heads are out of touch with music and can only find music good in the generation they prefer.

• These modern artists who aren’t legacy artists from the last decade actually f***ing suck. They make fast food music. They have no lasting power. Just a bunch of kids trying to make a quick bag with some catchy s***. I respect the hustle but the denial that the majority (not all) of this s*** is completely ass is hilarious.

It’s not outrageous for people to say this s*** is ass right now because it is. But that doesn’t mean 100% of it is and I get the point that some people are just hard headed

I agree but non-rap was never that popular here even during prime KTT so you could say KTT was always out of touch with other genres

A lot of people also generalize that just because rap might be in a weaker spot nowadays, that this means all of music is weak rn lol

The Weeknd for example dropped his best studio album in 2020, and some would even say 2022, and that's just one example of a super popular non-hip hop artist who is somewhat "newer" making great music still
