I just finished my first listen of King's Disease and it's a great body of work but it's not better than 4:44 imo. But it's definitely too early for this convo.

Gonna have to give Nas album a listen

  • i'm happy nas is
    getting good reception

but i'd say the album is about an 8/10

    whereas i'd rank 4:44 at a 10

  • Laughable take

Yeah but Nas spits that fire throughout KD. Every song is a head bop.

4:44 got those snoozey borderline spoken word flows at parts.

Can't compare these albums with each other, both are masterpieces

nothing on KD touches Kill Jay Z, Story of OJ, Smile, 4:44, Family Feud, Marcy Me and Legacy. These are some of the realest rap songs of all time, HOV really was speaking from his soul on this project, there isnt a moment on the album that feels forced.

    KD was a good, consistent
and very enjoyable project, but I dont find it very memorable tbh, seems like Nas wanted to make a good record after Nasir so he let Hit Boy guide him, and looked for some hot feats. 4:44 is far more real.

    Disagree

Nas is a visionary, he doesn't need guidance on how to write s*** lol. Hit Boy alone couldn't make a KD tier album.

Blue Benz, Car #85, All Bad, 10 Points, The Cure, etc.. those are some SONGS.

4:44 is a personal classic to me as well, but I've played it so many times and naturally now KD is more refreshing.

Let's see what Jay does next.. 4:44 was special, but another golf course album wouldn't be able to match KD's energy. Personally I want him to bring back that Black Album flow and confidence for a whole album.

Tbh I’d be cool with 4:44 being Hov’s last album. Seems like a great way to top off his career

I was talking about song making, of course Nas doesnt need help writing, he is a top 10 mc of all time lol, but as an artist he struggled most of his career with musical choices, Hit Boy helped him make his best project in a long time, it's a very good album and I'm glad Hit Boy helped him curate it.

Eh idk he’s too old for this tbh it might come off as tired and awkward like MCHG

If 444 isnt his last album he better have two left in him cause the next one will be trash according to the natural hov cycle
