finally playing this again after finishing expedition 33

I got to Kuttenberg the week of release and then stopped for some reason but I’m thinking of restarting and doing a full playthrough and finishing it

After few months IT was kinda disapointing in how linear it was

I stopped just before kuttenberg to play expedition 33 so its like im playing kcd2.5 now

Hated this game at first then got new gear now I love it

the last dlc is out and the game has a nice discount on steam, 36 euros base edition and 48 for deluxe. easy goty for me

Is the DLC good?

I've waited for this one to drop before I go back and play the two previous ones along with it, its sitting mixed on steam, though I think it reviewed well otherwise. Skimming thru the reviews, they say its a bit buggy and on the shorter side

Hesitantly bought this on Black Friday and I say hesitantly because I’m not really one of those “I wanna get lost in the world”, “don’t break my immersion”, super into story driven games type of gamers and that’s kinda how people been selling this one

So far I’m about 30 hours in, still in the first region. Haven’t completed either quest line meant to get me into the wedding. Having a great time. It’s scratching that western RPG itch that so many games failed to in recent years.

Just based off what I’ve played so far I doubt I’ll finish the game but I’ll definitely get my moneys worth

Copped on steam only 30 bucks, visually looked amazing so I said why not even after the racist dev debacle.

I have to say, I’m seriously impressed so far. The only other RPG I’ve played with a similar vibe is The Witcher 3 (which I loved), but I’ve never played Skyrim or The Elder Scrolls, so this feels like a really fresh experience for me.

The combat is definitely humbling. I’m getting cooked, I keep blocking until my stamina drains, and then ggs if its two enemies. I’m still trying to figure out the rhythm of it.

My latest adventure ended in disaster tho After the other guy who saved me leaves, I decided to go find the dog. It was far, I found another small village, stole a horse. That f***ed up immediately the horse got spooked near the main road due to some bandits and I had to run through some bushes and continue on foot.

I met a random priest on the road, when I tried to take a shortcut. I took fall damage, hurt my foot (bleeding or broken idk), and lost the ability to run. Of course, right then I ran into another bandit maybe part of mission?? Since I couldn't run away, he killed me easily. Now I lost all that progress and I'm back at the first town. Painful, but immersive!

Been a while where I felt that in a game and nothing crazy happened, cozy game. 3 hours so far.

This is crazy for a free upgrade. I liked KCD1 in some ways more than 2 so if you liked 2 definitely give this a try now that it’s upgraded
