I appreciate him s***ting on Trump every chance he gets, but Newsom is not what we need right now. He's just another corporate Dem who will change depending upon the political winds. He has no real principles and cannot be trusted. We still have 2 years to go. I don't think he'll end up winning in the primary.

Even if we put his own politics/ideology aside for a second, I just view him as unelectable and damaging to the Dems chances of building a lasting coalition. I think if he did win a General election A) it would only be because any Dem could win because the political environment would be so bad for the GOP and B) it would lead to Dems getting destroyed in midterms just like the GOP does when Trump is not on the ballot

As of right now, Newsom is the only guy that can beat Trump in 2028 tbh
