If they had a solid candidate running next election then they could get behind that i guess, or they could pressure them to step down, not sure what the best route is for them i dont live there. One example is zohran although he's pretty rare and we havent seen what happens in the general but not everyone is built like him the way he can navigate scrutiny and refocus the convo back on affordability and so on

There's no guarantee however that an actually good mayoral candidate will pop up though, that isn't milquetoast performative bs, but it's always the right time for labor, tenants and other organizing to advocate for themselves regardless of whos in office
