you say that but honestly nevermind, CLB, and many others had the same exact reaction from normy listeners and drake stans alike. then the rose tints come out and mfs try to play off like views and other albums werent bad in hindsight.
spoiler alert, half of drake's discog is dogshit and its ok. he still makes great songs and has great albums too. and im sure people feel the same or say the same about kendrick and that is also ok, lol.

Honestly I wouldn’t say it’s Drake on a decline but HipHop in general.
Before, Drake was the top artist when Rap overtook Rock as the number 1 genre.
Yeah and I also think some people have also fallen off with their fandom of Drake. I don’t think it’s been a dramatic decline but a subtle one. He’s still the clear #1, and can still obviously seize a moment anytime he wants (meltdown verse, Churchill downs verse) but I’m sure some people have grown fatigued of his music. He drops A LOT of music lol. He’s been right in our face for like 15 years

If we're being fair Drake doesn't go for big features either. Sampha, Teezo, even Kendrick weren't all the big names they are today prior to the Drake stimulus they got

Which rapper you prefer is subjective but anyone can tell you Drake offers much more diversity. Kendrick hasn't really branched out of rap in almost a decade. Drake has incorporated multiple genres and experimented with stuff like Honestly Nevermind. A Drake playlist could last an hour or 2 longer than Kendrick's that's nothing about the quality it's just that Drake isn't afraid to take risks even if they don't always pay off
Kendrick experiments within rap which Drake doesn't do as much that's why his best rap songs are the ones that sound like freestyles, he isn't as creative as Kendrick when it comes to making rap songs

I disagree with this. I think post CLB, he sounds like he’s been having fun with it for the most part. Her Loss was a huge step up from CLB, as was Honestly Nevermind.
FATD is ok but I think it could have been way better as an album but there are good songs on there. Bottomline is, I think Drake has been a better place than he was from 2018-2021
