    Kendrick's whole comeup gimmick was being reminiscent of old-school Rap, being some type of 2Pac successor, and having a classic Compton vibe.

    He was the perfect nigga for old-heads who hated what Drake was doing to Rap to hide behind lmao. Still Drake didn't feed into that and supported him through 2011-2013 only for him to feed into that nonsense with Control.
