I’m gonna say it

Take Care is full of cringeworthy lyrics and song concepts. Sonically the album sounds great but Drake rapping about going through girls purses over a Just Blaze banger is just lame. Singing about calling his ex drunk is lame. drake calling himself an Underground King is lame. Saying he killed everyone in the game last year when Kanye dropped MBDTF and he dropped Thank Me Later is lame.

I used to love some of these songs but they’ve kinda been retroactively tainted for me. Going back he always seemed immature, manipulative and insecure.

zoomers don't f*** with drake like they f*** with kanye, carti, and kendrick. drake thinks the way to win them over is to paint his nails, hop on trendy beats, and try and become a kick streamer, but really all he should have done is be unabashedly creative and passionate about his art. the way he's acting is too transparently desperate, they can see through it.

gen z is the first generation with no rap superstars since hip hop went mainstream, the three potential stars from their generation all died early in their careers. it sorta makes sense why they’d sour on a middle aged millennial who “overstayed” his time as hip hops biggest star and tried to pander to them with yeat features

All them early 2010s boi-da beats sound incredibly dated
