Drake legitimately needs to do something to win back the respect. Once the casuals start running with something it’s over. Once your seen as corny/A Joke it’s almost impossible to come back from. It’s like Chance after The Big Day

Take Care is full of cringeworthy lyrics and song concepts. Sonically the album sounds great but Drake rapping about going through girls purses over a Just Blaze banger is just lame. Singing about calling his ex drunk is lame. drake calling himself an Underground King is lame. Saying he killed everyone in the game last year when Kanye dropped MBDTF and he dropped Thank Me Later is lame.
I used to love some of these songs but they’ve kinda been retroactively tainted for me. Going back he always seemed immature, manipulative and insecure.

tuffs*** was terrible to deal with lol. I started f***ing with peep after he died and loved his s*** but...then X died after I had OD investment into that guy for years
doesnt help that most people who did live coming out of the soundcloud wave peaked in the mid 2010s. Trippie, Dex, RTK, I'd probably argue Kodak, Uzi (artistically), like these dudes were shells of themselves by the 2020s

I feel like it's one of those albums you gotta place in the context of what music was like at that time
that's really why it can't be a classic - it's a classic reminder of what mainstream wanted out of hip hop in 2012 or w/e, but I don't think it's something that's aging with you

I think Drake has music that will be studied in decades, but the s*** I and alot of people recently hate about him is that he's so content to pad out his album with trendy BS for kids
there's def a version of some of these recent efforts that could at least be what Take Care was - elite snapshots of what music is like now. Maybe not classics but really goods...but he'll give you some dog s*** collab with bad bunny instead

I rapped family matters to my therapist today
I have aspergers, and have been following the beef very closely. I have memorized all the Drake songs, but Family Matters is my first pick. I broke down the entire beef to my therapist earlier today. He was incredibly impressed with my knowledge. Afterwards, I offered to perform one of the songs, and so I chose Family Matters. Unfortunately I couldn't find an instrumental so I went a cappella. For 7 minutes straight I did my thing and he applauded at the end. It was one of the greatest moments of my week, for sure. If you're reading this and are in therapy, I implore you to rap a drake song in therapy, if the therapist is ok with it. It was a really fun experience. Thank you!
