Nah you can't even really say that tbh. I didn't like HNVM that much but there were tons of people posting about liking it weeks/months later.

Some even said it's a top Drake record. From KTT to Twitter.

Not really. I love the album but most people still hate it to this day

They’re not mutually exclusive. Both can be true. Drakes impact on the culture has been huge and he has developed his own sound which has produced multiple clones trying to replicate it. That being said, he has also jumped on other people’s sounds too. It’s not a one or the other thing

I even said he saw that music was already heading in that direction and got out in front of it. But Drake doing a certain sound just inherently makes it way more accessible for the average casual listener

It as much of a diss as Like That

He called out his single, the lines used in it and “for all your dogs getting buried” album title. Not really a sub and didn’t take 2 years

Wait wait wait wait so drake gives everyone number ones and some of the biggest albums and moments of artists careers and HES RIDING A WAVE? 🤨

Edit: and if you so confident in your take why was future begging Drake to drop a 2nd collab album during life is good era? ☕️🐸

A song going number 1 has nothing to do with what we’re discussing. Y’all Drake Stans really can’t formulate a thought without thinking of numbers lol. A big artist can ride someone else’s wave or hop on a song that already buzzing and make it bigger. That doesn’t mean they’re still not using that artist or the sound they created.

Maybe it's just aging better, but I do know a lot of folks were turned off by it initially and later did the whole "are we ready to admit that.." pivot.

Excuses. If he really felt a way, he should have spoken up sooner. He took his time with his response so Drake/Cole are allowed to do the same.

The way you keep mentioning cole like drake wasn’t the one absolutely embarrassed is hilarious

Drake need big bro to protect him?

Excluding Jimmy Cooks, the highest daily streamed song on Spotify from HNVM is Sticky, getting a mere 133K daily streams.

It's safe to say the majority of people do not like that album, and I say that as someone who loves it

Drake stans bringing up subliminal singlets from 2014 and saying everyone knew it was about Kendrick

Meanwhile "this b**** lie about getting shots but she's still a stallion" totally wasn't about Megan!

Here's a fact: numbers talk bullshit walks.

Fact 2: your using terms like "big" and "riding waves" and "buzzing" but you don't wanna talk numbers? Huh?

It's Drake. If people liked the album, they'd listen to it, right?

That's y'all argument for CLB being good, because it still does numbers two years later.

HNVM is pulling in 1.4 million daily streams on Spotify, and 900K of that is from Jimmy Cooks alone

Streets are saying that Drake reached out to Kendrick to get him on FPS but they fell out for reasons that ain't clear.

Apparently Drake sent the record breakdown, his ideas for it and the beat then Kendrick agreed but then refused to send his verse in until whenever Drake had done his and shared it with Kendrick whenever that would be in the album creation process.

Then they fell out for whatever reason and rest is history. Cole had already recorded his hence the "we the big 3 like we started a league" but had to alter it after slightly

But glad now yall are admitting that Drake thought a black woman getting shot was a joking matter!
