Just Wanna Rock, Benito did a jersey club track, Everybody, you could argue Lovin On Me has elements in it as well…

If Lovin on me is ripping anything from Drake it’s The Motto not HNM

If Poverty, Verymid had real impact on the culture you point to a group of young niggas rn making that style of music like you can with WLR but you cant

And including Just wanna rock in that just shows your ignorance man. Uzi is an actual philly nigga

I mean I also wouldn’t say Views influenced Tems cause she’s actually African but Views and More Life helped make the music mainstream and made the general public more accepting and in that way does carry influence

    Y’all just purposefully obtuse

Streets are saying that Drake reached out to Kendrick to get him on FPS but they fell out for reasons that ain't clear.

Apparently Drake sent the record breakdown, his ideas for it and the beat then Kendrick agreed but then refused to send his verse in until whenever Drake had done his and shared it with Kendrick whenever that would be in the album creation process.

Then they fell out for whatever reason and rest is history. Cole had already recorded his hence the "we the big 3 like we started a league" but had to alter it after slightly

    Man wtf

I honestly hope this isn’t true

So he took 2 years for that little subliminal that’s kinda dissing his quality of music.

If all of those disses and the fact that he's literally in Compton, as well as the fact that when the Game himself was interviewed couldn't answer whether it was aimed at Kendrick instead of just saying no tells you all you need to know.

They been subbing each other for years like with Kendricks BET Cypher in 2013 "tucked a sensitive rapper back into his pajamas, haha"

Once Future was on his run and trap was dominating, here comes IYRTITL and the collab album with Future.

and then drake dropped a trap collab album without future and it was 1000000 times better lol.. not to mention future has to hit up drake and Kenny for #1s.. talk about "riding a wave" 🥱

Wait wait wait wait so drake gives everyone number ones and some of the biggest albums and moments of artists careers and HES RIDING A WAVE? 🤨

Edit: and if you so confident in your take why was future begging Drake to drop a 2nd collab album during life is good era? ☕️🐸

People in the thread talking about him shifting the culture when he’s hopped on more waves than anyone I can think of.

They’re not mutually exclusive. Both can be true. Drakes impact on the culture has been huge and he has developed his own sound which has produced multiple clones trying to replicate it. That being said, he has also jumped on other people’s sounds too. It’s not a one or the other thing

Nah you can't even really say that tbh. I didn't like HNVM that much but there were tons of people posting about liking it weeks/months later.

Some even said it's a top Drake record. From KTT to Twitter.
