I agree that the stakes are high, I just don’t think the numbers will hurt for Drake.
Like, respectfully, Cole is more of a “rapper’s rapper” than Drake. I think Drake will see less of a hit, if he sees a hit at all, streaming wise if he loses, so long as it’s not humiliating like what Cole did.
To me, the stakes for Drake are in his pride and where he sees himself in the culture. Drake wants to be loved and respected by hip hop so bad, and I can see it stinging him sorely if Kendrick takes what he does have in that regard away from him.
Numbers wise he won’t suffer he too solidified, but I don’t think he can take another Adidon level nuke. Push beef was in 2018 and he been subbing him ever since. And Kendrick is a lot bigger than Push, if either of them loses to each other that’s a huge loss
Okkkkk I’m lit
Why? Do I need to break down these bars for you little stupid casual rap fan 😂👑
You are, you ain't no folk, stay ovah there

Absolutely. I see it as a “pride will never recover” type of thing.
I almost just want a draw, since I like both of ‘em, but what are you gonna do
It’s nephew
i need two more tracks and then im done with the beef.
i just want to see some nuclear s***. neither of these tracks were that. good tracks, but we haven't had a story of addidon level diss since that s*** happened. we may never get a diss like that ever again, but god that s*** would be crazy
Cultural paradigm shift
Kendrick won.
time for me to log out lol

Kenny has to win, that p**** said too much about sme girl
Drake is just gonna continue playing this up on IG regardless of how it goes for him. Most of his audience doesn’t care about the history of rap or who wins a beef. They just care about memes and listening to songs they like. He’ll care about how it affects his legacy behind closed doors because he’s actually a rap nerd, but in the mainstream, it’ll be like it never even happened.
The Off Season did so much to bring Cole back to his rightful spot alongside Drake and Kendrick in the public eye and he just threw all that good will away. Beefs really do have an effect, Common and Meek weren't the same after Drake and I think the same will be said about Cole losing to Kendrick in 10 years
Yeah seeing Cole’s legacy torched in real time was wild, legendary feature run, revenge of the dreamers 3, KOD - Off Szn, all that for nothing
All of these "culture won" posts just for big steppers to do 50 units next week
It’s on brand tho the culture has never really cared how many albums you sold, especially 2 years later

He gooning in the basement
The culture should be listening to Kendrick Lamar when it's outside of drake beef no?

Yeah, I don’t really like that Drake brought her into it either, tbh.
Especially since you think he’d know better after Adidon
That's a cap ass opinion, that was the guys moment of truth, we already don't trust him, that'd be very impactful
You just proved my point tho, we already know or assume he don’t write his music
what will another allegation or confirmation really do in the eyes of the public? Oh he didn’t write that either..okay well that’s already been running joke
That’s a boring ass convo, how many times we gonna talk about him having writers yet he still the biggest rapper rn
There’s a more interesting convo to be had that’s all I’m saying
These shambles are hilarious to me because if Kendrick’s reply was bad
We wouldn’t be debating if baby keem wrote damn
Or if Kendrick’s wife is black enough
The magnitude of this song has the people against it reaching far and wide and none of their explanations involve the actual song
You ever lean back too far in a chair and then start grabbing at air trying to catch yourself? Real time example in the thread.

Yea he’ll continue touring and hopping on the latest regional waves. Nothings going to change. But he lost this beef
