I don’t trust your friends taste plus Eminem hasn’t dropped a classic since his sophomore imo

Eminem show was easily the peak of his powers. Still had some amusing joke songs but was able to pivot past the "shock jock edgelord" gimmick and was prolly the closest thing to an eminem album for general rap audience/not just his rabid fanbase. Era also had renegade and 8 mile soundtrack aka his best material. A shame d**** fried him cuz a stable career with material like this he coulda had Jay z like longevity

It was still good but I only hold MMLP as a classic, just not a fan of Em in general

Imo MMLP still superior even with the edgelord lyrics.

His flow is ridiculous throughout that entire album and the rhyme schemes too.

But I do respect your point and it's pretty much a tie for me.

Good you went all in instead of one by one. OK bro the worst thing about kod is that everything can be found on Damn with much better writing, beats and hooks, flows and more fleshed out concepts. Comparing it to MMTBS is not only weird but unfortunate because it is better than both kod and damn. UIG alone clears that album.

The intro is half-assed and boring, it's a teenagers perception of what depth is

KOD is good rapping, but if it parallels either DNA or N95, it loses completely, the beat doesn't progress and there's nothing of value except why he doesn't want features, which feels unconvincing

Photograph has a great beat but LUST captures that h**** vibe way better

The Cut off, wtf is Cole talking, who would he slap, like it's so fake and unconvincing talmbout when I see u imma slap you, lol lol lol, l like it tho

ATM is a bop as for count me out, you are wrong

Brackets is great and Kevin's heart doesn't age well, it's timely and coy, say it with your chest that you are unloyal

Moti8e wow, garbage, 1985 is condescending trash, once a addict just was surpassed by auntie diaries for the worst climax, a really disappointing song. Friends is the centerpiece and the best song The rest is trash and I can only list them in order cause I actually play kod, as a mid album to do chores with. It is a great concept at the hands of a weak writer, it sucks!

DAMN is better, but I don't think MMBS is

I don't really compare KOD to any of those albums of I'm being honest, it's closer to TPAB to me but I look at KOD & 4YEO as 2 sides of the same coin. I'm really only comparing the albums to the other album within Dot & Cole's discog, not head to head. In this particular case I'm saying KOD > MMBS for my personal opinion

For me MMBS has: United in Grief, N95, Rich Spirit, Silent Hill, Savior & the interlude, Mr. Morale, and Mirror as the upper tier of the album but the lows in this album kill it as a whole. Has amazing peaks though

As I already said, Snoop took way too much petty glee in "kiki do you love me" when it came out.

Like Drake couldn't handle Pusha, deflected to Kanye when he was at his most down and out, and somehow Drake is Lisan al Gaib to Snoop hope he keeps that energy if his wife ever cheats on his meat smoking, extinct hairline ass blunt brain

This is real folkie, he's a fried brain rotted washed loser who hasn't made a good song in almost 2 decades

Oh s***, yeah in regards to that I think he co-signed or knew that Drake was gonna do the AI thing. I really do. Bc his initial reaction I think was sarcastic and he was also flaunting discretely that he owns death row now.

Oh damn that’s interesting too. I thought Drake would have gotten permission to do that, I was surprised when people assumed he didnt and that did not really seem like the ethical thing to do. (I know the Tupac estate threatened to sue him but my understanding is the ownership of it and the desire of some familly members isnt aligned, kinda like j dilla’s) Also snoop is very on board with this new tech like the crypto, nfts etc so its not surprising he co-signed the ai. It is kinda surprising he took drakes side in general though just because nobody else has lol

Didn’t vibe with side B of scorpion at all and it affected how I view the album in general big time

Had me convinced he was some artsy dude from some of those soul melting moments on TC.

the Crew Love/Take Care/Marvins Room/Buried Alive stretch is in a whole other ballpark than the rest of his discography imo

    I agree with this post

As much as Snoop Dogg is an icon and his debut is a huge influential classic, he lowkey is a hack that never would have made such a classic album without Dre
