    I have seen wolf of Wall Street over 100 times and can quote "there is no nobility in poverty." I f***jng love that movie

    Also when you realize the film is literally financed with one of the biggest frauds in world history you also appreciate it more lmaooo

    Edit: dune 2 was the greatest theatrical experience of my life. So many scenes but I will never forget seeing him running across the sun peaked dune in wide angle imax lens. The grains of sand collapsing under the approaching shai Hulud with the contrast of light and shadow reflecting the turning point of plot development in the scene

    :whew:

    Paul riding the worm over the crest of a sand dune had me more excited in the theatre than ive been since the interstellar worm hole scene. f***ing ecstatic.

    Nah they're in here. I love epics. These films also defines what has raised me. My father showed me godfather when I was 6 and practically shoved my head in the tv when Vito corleone said "Sonny what's the matter with you? Never tell anyone outside the family what you're thinking!"

    Lawrence of Arabia is also and absolute classic and I bet you can't find 10 ppl who've seen the movie know it's a true story have read some of te Lawrence his epics or THAT HE IS LITERALLY THE INSPIRATION FOR DUNE

    See i think the problem is sometimes individuals like yourself seem to forget that certain films are canonical "classics" if you will because they not only stand the test of time but provide inspiring minds tonal persuasions in attempting to create classics of their own makings and ideations of their own conceptual manifestations. If my list looks like it's somehow popularized that's because many individuals find excellence to be popular.

    Well said esp the last part

    All the Minus One bandwagoners gotta bow down to the real Godzilla kino (I loved minus one too)

    This is both the wildest take on the character and also the one most true to the OG idea of Godzilla

    I finally watched og Godzilla like month ago was pumped to see Takashi Shimura

    yeah im a film film head but ill put as much praise on some Avengers or dumb comedy that hits as I do for a staggering Russian masterpiece or whatever. Kane is great but you could go back way further than that even and find something that will blow you away (like Sherlock Jr). yeah my pops raised me on Lynch's Dune and I still unironically consider it a masterpiece (may be nostalgia). the shootout in Heat is iconic but the one in Miami Vice is far more visceral. I dont have a projector lol but I do have a collection;

    https://imgur.com/gallery/8AnIN

    This is a very impressive collection

    I'm trying to get into stuff before Kane even but all I keep realizing is how fkn influential Welles is to the stylistic changes of cinematography. I mean it's like they didn't realize being a director meant shifting the camera angles before him lmaoo. Like modern times idk how ppl think it's good besides Chaplin being Chaplin obvs

    Just now? yeah man Godzilla is such a big part of my childhood

    But you gotta peep Shin Godzilla, some of the political scenes can get a bit of a slog to get through but Godzilla itself is done beautifully. Like you can truly see that he’s a creature constantly in pain and I loved the choice of making that iconic laser beam of his almost like he’s throwing up and trying to get rid of all this radioactive energy that’s hurting him from inside

    Such a f***ing cool take on the iconic big G
