Edit: dune 2 was the greatest theatrical experience of my life. So many scenes but I will never forget seeing him running across the sun peaked dune in wide angle imax lens. The grains of sand collapsing under the approaching shai Hulud with the contrast of light and shadow reflecting the turning point of plot development in the scene

yeah im a film film head but ill put as much praise on some Avengers or dumb comedy that hits as I do for a staggering Russian masterpiece or whatever. Kane is great but you could go back way further than that even and find something that will blow you away (like Sherlock Jr). yeah my pops raised me on Lynch's Dune and I still unironically consider it a masterpiece (may be nostalgia). the shootout in Heat is iconic but the one in Miami Vice is far more visceral.
