Kendrick needs better production this time
As long as he doesn’t put pop songs like Loyalty, Element or Love, production will be fire, Kendrick production is always A1

I wanna know whose standard you holding him to that you see his production needs some work cuz he's already up there

Yea those pop songs were definitely low points for him, don't wanna hear any s*** like those on his next release

All those songs have great production lol
All those songs have great production lol
Of course, Kendrick will never make trash music, he is a true artist, I just don’t like that type of production. I want Kendrick to make hip hop, GKMC, TPAB, UU type music, not Taylor Swift type joints. I hate when Kendrick is on his pop bag. I know for a fact his next joint will be some crazy TPAB type rap rock s***

yeah but we're not talking about your personal taste here, but quality. Like the dude said, all these have great productions, some even have his best production to this day. And none of them are "pop"...seems like you don't know what it is.
If anything, gkmc is the only kendrick album that had pop elements in it. Don't confuse 70s soul and pop.
need kendrick to give me DAMN. part 2
i'd kill for that, LOVE. is lowkey the best black rock influenced track I've heard in YEARS
need kendrick to give me DAMN. part 2
By far my favorite album, Element been on repeat
Honestly he can do whatever he wants, but i'd prefer if the music was as good as DAMN/TPAB.

whats your favorite track on the album ?
Lust
Yah
Element
Throw in The Heart Part 2 and Poe Mans Dreams and you got my top 5 favorite kdot songs, period.
It's crazy how almost each song on Damn is influenced by a different goat artist (and is so well executed)
Love: Isaac Hayes
Yah: Prince (who influcenced 3k as well)
Pride: The Beatles
Lust: The Clash & Rat Boy

There's literally not 1 artist who managed to reach that level of stardom without making some accessible music, and he managed to do it with 3 albums, you look at the rest of the artists who are up there and they just constantly put out catchy music to remain hot...
DAMN. did a lot for him and what he was able to achieve with that album is amazing...there's not many mainstream rap albums like that if any at all where it's so diverse in sound and it's a dope mix of catchy ear candy s*** and straight up hip hop and at the same time u got positive message and dope themes and concepts
There were also those narratives where Kendrick can't make hits after TPAB came out so it's crazy how narratives switched again after he put out DAMN...lol
But yeah he's not gonna do the same s*** again if that's what you're wondering

I get more of a The Stylistics vibe from Love. than Isaac Hayes imo
but yeah...u can argue that both had an influence on the Black Rock vibe of that kendrick's song ( = a very specific kind of accessible Soul music, and not rock music like some people think lol).
This is exactly the type of song LA musicians were trying to make in the 70s
November ma boy
We're getting smth next month imo, with all the snippets that dropped, the news, rumors etc, it looks like its coming sooner than we think
