I know Kendrick has been very open about being flawed and hypocritical at times, but I find it interesting that on MMTBS he basically set aside his ego and the “god” aura. On this album he’s very egocentric and chest beating. Not a criticism, just find it interesting that he’s seemingly walked back his mindset. Or I am I misinterpreting?
Of course you can still be humble and respectful while knowing your worth and what you deserve and standing up for yourself so maybe it’s that
He addresses this contradiction on the third verse of Reincarnated.
How is this album conceptual?
Very excited to read his reply to this question.

2 sides of the Gemini
You mean SZA?
I don’t know if it was SZA’s voice. But the clip of the woman arguing right before SZA started singing the hook again
man truly some amazing records on this
only one I can’t get wit is the title track I feel goofy asl tryna bob my head to that beat
How is this album conceptual?
I feel like it’s Kendrick’s entire thought process and feelings towards being a rapper/world renowned artist, and eventually being in a position where he’s seen as the top of the top.
Songs like wacced out murals, reincarnated, heart pt. 6, gloria all emphasize this concept

My least favourite thing about Kendrick
but the music is as good as it is so I’ll let it slide
If we are getting anything else, I think it’ll be a short deluxe within the next few weeks or right before the Super Bowl.
This album is way too conceptual for there to be a second project coming
It’s literally the least conceptual album he’s ever made
There’s not even a concept, Just a theme
how is this minimalist in your opinion, there's some layered and lush production on here
One of the most layered produced albums this year and people calling it a yezus is wild to me
It’s literally the least conceptual album he’s ever made
There’s not even a concept, Just a theme
Go easy on him, he's new to music
You could pre order the stuff for those
Sure, because they weren’t surprise releases. The label knew about them before hand and had a pre-order ready.
The point is the albums were still being worked on until the last hour so they weren’t ready at release.
GNX only don’t have a pre-order yet because not even the label knew about it until he was ready to drop it
Instagram fingers at it again

He’s gonna embarrass himself again.
what does this even mean
lol what is plugnb? i’ve heard the nfr podcast dudes mention it some years ago
basically new age rap with r&b inspired production

I don’t know if it was SZA’s voice. But the clip of the woman arguing right before SZA started singing the hook again
Sounds like Taylour Paige to me
''right before super bowl''
Zero understanding of how the industry works lmao
Usher’s new album dropped two days before his Super Bowl halftime show you f***ing idiot

I don’t think ur wrong but I don’t think it’s enough to make it a conceptual album. Especially when he tackled these same topics and went more in depth on something like damn
the title track was made 2 days before the album, there's no way Kendrick isn't plotting something lmao
How is this album conceptual?
If MM&TBS is the album where he’s looking inward as a person this is the flip side of that and looking inward as an artist.
Hence the call back to all his influences with the Pac/DMX inflections on Reincarnated. The LA and Bay Area influence on the production and samples, him addressing everything on the intro, reminiscing on his come up with Heart Part 6 and giving TDE their flowers for how they all came up together, Gloria literally being his version of I Used To Love H.E.R. etc
I feel like it’s Kendrick’s entire thought process and feelings towards being a rapper/world renowned artist, and eventually being in a position where he’s seen as the top of the top.

I mean we’ll see in the coming weeks
If this all we get from him for now I’m cool with that, Super solid project
If more comes I’ll welcome it. Especially if “more blood will be spilled”
It’s literally the least conceptual album he’s ever made
There’s not even a concept, Just a theme
Is it the least conceptual album he’s ever made? Absolutely.
That doesn’t mean a concept is not there.
Just because it’s not outward like his other albums does not mean it doesn’t exist
