Not trying to side track because this is a Kendrick thread but at this point their careers are heavily intertwined, I really do love the fact that Kendrick is continuing to push himself as an artist and although you could argue he’s always been capable of making something like this, I do believe his ideology of hip hop being honed in specifically this year got us to where we are. It’s been said earlier but I don’t believe Drake has that anymore which is I guess his choice but in my opinion it sucks to see someone that albeit had a different approach but definitely had the same drive idk just lose it? I keep thinking to myself what would 2015 Drake have done if this beef was given to him and how he would’ve handled it during and post I just see it totally different from what actually happened. All in all I just love this album man. Really something that I personally needed from Kendrick because it was the one itch he hadn’t scratched for me and it’s everything I expected it to be and more
