BrainWorms4Uyea regardless how much i love MM its clear there was a disconnect at least musically w some fans.
It's top 3 for me but I'm not mad at the opinions of folks who really didn't like the album

lol i am thankful for the album bro i just said it had some of my fav kendrick bars and sound.
I just been noticed the disconnect w SOME fans not connecting with it since it dropped while others did a 180 this year after/ during the beef an reflecting on the album
Ngl I wasn't blown away by the album on my first initial listen but repeated listens is where I finally was able to see the vision he was going for. But to me, sonically, it ranks all the way at the bottom of his discography

Which that is what therapy is, detaching from the demand from others to be more in tune with the self. This album was about personal struggles and the awareness of breaking cycles
Phenomenal messaging, musically it just veered too safe to me when the songs I listed played. Even without those songs I still rate MMBS pretty high. This might be more controversial but I like it better than GKMC

I get caught up in a similar thought process, sometimes with an artist I love I can see their growth in each project and as I grow sometimes I grow past those songs of old in that artist discography
Those songs are still cemented somewhere but I rather bask in the artist's present day if it so aligns more with where I am
As crazy as it sounds but I think Dot had an ascension in talent and output on par with Big Sean
