It’s funny cus I think both Chromakopia and gnx are very LA albums but I think I just prefer the sound of Chromakopia (gay chords) over the strictly regional sound of gnx

I love GNX but I might have to put Chromakopia over it as well.

And for me I’ve kind of grown tired of Tyler sticking to “his” sound so staunchly. I loved the subject matter of the new album but for me it never came back in my rotation aside from a couple songs.

GNX is different for Kendrick and that’s why I appreciate it. He’s never really made a “modern” west coast type of album and being on the west coast, it is super cool to see. Closest we got was GKMC but that was very 90s inspired.

I just want them to get better at discussing art and I’m so serious as someone who loves art . Especially cause they do so much extra s*** but when I say post your Apple Music for the month of November they all go silent

i'd recommend u check out the new posthumous ( ) drakeo album. he was a big inspiration on kendrick's output this decade

i dont mind the features but what kinda put me off is some of the production (wacced out murals and especially the title track)

To your point about GNX not being a conceptual album

The Luciferian/reincarnation concept is actually littered throughout the album just very, very subtly outside of reincarnated and man in the garden

The intro tracks hook plays into it as well. although, it went over most people’s heads
