From an African American perspective (where hip hop comes from), I think it’s quite powerful and beautiful that in a time of global peril and what seems to be a need of clarity, that one of our most outspoken african-american took the time to step back and actually fix his own house and family and break the cycle within it.

Maybe you the non-American wont care about it, but people would and will question somebody’s sincerity or their motives in any revolutionary cause if it turns out they have…say personal issues or things that make them liable for distrust.

You know how many revolutionaries have lived to be severely f***ed up? In the mind? Gave so much of themselves to the revolution and the perils of the world and had nothing left for their own selves?

appreciate this and I'm also completely on your side w most everything you said here. I'm totally down w the sentiment that inward revolution is just as relevant, that's also why I'd never hate on Kendrick doing that and why I think Morale is an album with a lot of great moments.
