Yeah, he's been doing that since Kamikaze. I personally miss singles, interviews and performances to promote his albums. He just drops and disappears, which obviously hurts his first week sales, cause he still sells good in the long run.

MFer talked about the album for over a year and had a heart shaved in his head forever talking about it. People were hyping his album before he even dropped DLDT. Dude was everywhere and stayed all over the scene with features and appearances. Kendrick was in a cave and then came out two weeks before.

He dropped a video saying his new album would drop in JANUARY 2021 lol. He didn't drop the album so in order to apologize and give his fans something to stream while he finished the album he released 3 songs a month later or two. But CLB dropped in SEPTEMBER. He just had a random ad and the announcement on IG. In the end the promo run wasn't much different than Kendrick's.
