It'll be like 300k. If his team plays this right, 400k.
With it only being 9 tracks he would need multiple mega hits to explode the week the album drops for these to be remotely possible

True
Doechii album is gonna go crazy if it’s good and they rollout it out in a creative way
i think what the success of the metro album implies is that people still want to listen to future 21 travis etc, but they need some sort of guarantee of their quality. or maybe that metro is the main attraction.
or maybe it just has a few hit songs.

i still think they almost destroyed her career by giving her a grammy before she was "ready"
that was one of the all time worst A&R decisions.

The project is dope I’m glad she got one for it

i still need to listen, but all young people especially hip hop fans like to feel like someone becoming a star was their choice. and when Doechii wins an industry award it feels like the industry is telling them she's a star.
it makes her look like she's part of the establishment. if kendrick had won a grammy for Section 80 I think it would have hurt his career in the long run. even tho it was a great album.

Doesn't bother me because I'm personally not an idiot who only consumes content pushed to me from an algorithm and I've seen Doechii drop music and perfect her craft for years and years before this

that's fair but commercial success is often contingent on those "idiots" liking your brand.

i don't understand what group of people you are referring to. but clearly every artist discussed in this thread is trying to be commercially successful and appeal to the masses.
i was explaining how Doechii's success with the grammys is going to work against her.

I'm referring to the ones who aren screaming "plant" every time she's mentioned on the internet, shes built a good fan base, she doesnt need to cater to engagement bait twitter accounts
Her success isnt going to work against her when it comes to anyone whos not easily influenced by nonsense, we've all seen her come up

yes, but there is clearly some plan behind the scenes to turn her into a star, which does mean appealing to those easily influenced by "nonsense."
and truthfully no matter how big she was the grammy came at the worst time in her career.
