Yall talking on a minor. I was 16 making music lmaooo
Okay? 16 year olds can make s***ty music and grow into weirdos? Is that suppose to shield you from the truth?
Someone who clearly doesn’t respect the genre besides superficial gain trying to profit from it themselves is a tale as old as time
You were a 16 year old white rapper and now you’re a white adult who belittles our greats just to prop your favorite
Very parasitic
He set himself up to fail trying to make it in music while vicariously living through someone online
I understand being 13 years old and still trying to find yourself
But a grown ass man thinking he inherits drakes success and his beefs is a huge reason he was never going to be able to grind how he needed for his music to work
The funny part is Drake sxn dug up his music video because he was pretending to be an insider saying he knew a response to Kendrick was coming soon
I'm curious as to why it's such a big deal to you guys that she's selling all these bonus albums. We all know Taylor Swift is fake af, shes basically a female Mr Beast. Why are yall so hurt that shes trying to break a record and make the most amount of money?
no ones's hurt. this is my first time paying attention to tayor swift first week sales tactics. reading that tweet begging her fans to buy demo versions was jarring tho. i'm not gonna pretend i know the ins and outs of the music industry so its confusing why she's lowering herself to that level. the two artists on her level that i actually listen to are Drake and Adele and they've never seemed that desperate.
with cardi b's desperation tactics. it was obvious she just wanted to beat nicki. it wasn't surprising because i always thought of cardi b as a talentless fraud who doesn't care about music. with taylor's discog, i assumed a level of artistic integrity that that tweet by her dispelled

Yup I remember that
Don’t think I’ve ever seen this dude in an album thread discussing raps of non mainstream artist
I think the pathetic part is milking your fanbase to try to get the record instead of just doing it naturally.
The record was set by Adele and all she did to do it was just… drop an album. The thing wasn’t even on streaming man, and she still sold 3.4M first week. That’s commendable.
Taylor doing all this is just a little sad
you do understand when adele set the record, the market at the time was completely different? she sold like 1 million $10 bucks itunes copies. itunes is completely dead now, and their prices were worth 1/4th of what a vinyl without shipping.
regardless, to dismiss at what TS is doing now to boost her numbers without taking into account how sales in the music industry has died down - which makes the boosting necessary in order to match a record from an older time, is disingenuous as well.
if TS sold 3M copies in 2025 first week, she probably wouldve sold like 6M in 2015 if she had the same stardom.

How am I sick when your fellow Drake stans are the ones that posted it 😂
btw any fellow chart freaks know the total units sold for morgan's "im the problem" & when is the year-end cutoff? if its this week then taylor is just in time to beat his ass with 7 days of accumulation lol
Taylor, like Walter Yetnikoff, understands a fundamental part of the ideal album experience for the listener: the album is deeply a visual medium. That doesn’t just mean a staunch effort in the literal visual experience to accompany the music, such as music videos and variant covers, or a striking color palette. It’s about the visuals that the lyrics create through imagery, it’s about the album being framed in a specific time or mood or space or lifestyle or situation. Having a constant signature sound throughout? That adds to the sense of strong imagery
Going hard on the literal visual presentation front just engenders this

Craziness
the streams aren’t high enough to get it there
Quite frankly, the purchasing power isn't enough to get there either

@iHype @thegreatdivine
I’m the Problem is currently at 3.2M units sold.
Year-end cutoff date is end of November.
The Life of a Showgirl will most likely pass 3.2M units today, after two days of availability

Idk about all that, I think her audience is just mostly comprised of high-school to early college age white girls who think her lyrics are deep and relatable

You’re saying that like Taylor and Adele aren’t peers or like Taylor wasn’t active around the time of 25’s release
Taylor was literally at her pop peak at the time, her previous two albums had both sold 1M+ copies first week, and 1989 did 1.287M first week a year before 25 released.
They were operating under the same exact industry state at the time. 25 just sold 2M more units, no need to come up with asterisks for it
137M streams on Spotify Day 2. 45% drop.
For comparison, TTPD received 183M streams in its second day, which was a 41% drop from its first.
Kelce need to retire now
This bih selling 4m first week why you still playing football

If she didnt have 100 variants I could see the argument.
