    @sab

Fader is once again being racist, ip ban?

It’s racist to say an artist hasn’t toured in the country you reside in yet?

November 2022, still on the chart, try again

You're celebrating "one of the biggest songs of all time" (your words) being a top 200 listened to song, just 3 years after release

Yeah because most songs just stay on that chart for that long and never leave!

Those 2018 Drake singles y’all d***ride so much didn’t even last that long on that chart

Niggas said 2018 Drake was the biggest year ever but not one of those Scorpion songs were on the chart after two years

And somehow Blinding Lights being on the chart for four straight years means absolutely nothing

It wasn't on the chart for 4 years straight, it fell off multiple times

And nah again, the point is artists were releasing far less music back then. so hits were sticking around way longer, this has been proven to you before.

Yeah and now go compare Drake's 2018/2019 competition to Weeknd's 2020/2021 competition and you'll be sick

By Nov 3 2022, it had been on the chart for 1095, which is literally exactly three years. It released in November 2019.

Weeknd’s 2020/2021 competition was Drake and he smoked him

Since you’re making up all these excuses for Blinding Lights, then what is the biggest song of the streaming era to you then? Name a song and we’ll go take a look at where it was on that Spotify chart three years post-release. @mangotflu

So out of a three year stretch it’s invalid because it fell off for like 20 days a month after it released?

1095 days is exactly 3 years. It reached that on Nov. 3rd 2022. The song released on Nov. 29th 2019. So in a 3 year period, it only missed the chart for 26 days. Which was mostly December 2019, a month after it released.

    BL biggest globally

Old Town Road however absolutely dominated it in the US
& Pretty sure Sunflower has more US streams too, a lot more

    God's Plan definitely does too
I would also bet bad guy has more streams, maybe Lucid Dreams too

  • Is this demon joint the most popular a film soundtrack has been since Encanto and that Bruno song

Okay. For context, three years post-release, Blinding Lights was at #174 on the US Spotify chart, and receiving 274K daily streams. Here’s where the others were:

    • Old Town Road: Not on the chart. Lowest song on the chart was receiving 207K daily streams.
    • Sunflower: #82 with 289K daily streams.
    • God’s Plan: Not on the chart. Lowest song on the chart was receiving 204K daily streams.
    • bad guy: Not on the chart. Lowest song on the chart was receiving 223K daily streams.
    • Lucid Dreams: #66 with 316K. But, and I mean this with no disrespect whatsoever, we do have to take into account that his death did boost his catalog on streaming. RIP Juice though.

So three of these songs were receiving less streams than Blinding Lights three years post-release, and two were receiving slightly more.

But Blinding Lights was 100 spots lower than both, despite being within 10K streams of one and 40K streams of the other. Wouldn’t this mean that the competition was actually stiffer for Blinding Lights than the opposite that you’re suggesting?

BL only charted so long due to how weak the charts are + radio payola. That’s why all of its longevity hot 100 records have been broken 2x since

Doesn't really matter, their first 1-2 years were so much bigger than BL it's not even funny. Especially OTR/Sunflower/God's Plan

OTR did 2.5b streams first year
    God's Plan 1.5b
    Blinding Lights did 820m

So why didn’t any 2020s Drake song chart for the same amount of time then? No 2020s Drake song received the same amount of streams three years post-release, so the radio excuse is bullshit

We’re not discussing its quality we’re talking about how popular it was. I know you’re a Drake stan so I get that it’s hard for you to understand that popularity and quality are separate metrics

If you made a list of the songs with most streams first year in the US

Blinding Lights would not even be top 20

Whats so funny is you've always denied OTR

When no song has ever come close to its peak streaming performance

Meanwhile you'll say TTPD is one of the biggest albums of all time, when multiple CURRENT albums have touched its peak streaming performance and are even surpassing it
