Also drake from a mainstream superstar perspective is one of the first to kinda even shun radio "billboard got me regulated.."
He also was one of the first to deepthroat billboard
He also was one of the first to deepthroat billboard
i mean brah they was da only niggas givin him awards
People have been anti radio since forever, glad y’all can finally join everyone else, it’s just obvious the motive behind it is self serving
It's all self serving... but maybe you're 60 years old so you had the time to process your thoughts on it, some of us are young and never cared for radio from birth
i mean brah they was da only niggas givin him awards
But billboard has always been manipulated and fake, but it’s okay if they are giving you awards?

It’s not even true. Hov was flexing about his numbers way before drake was even around

I personally disliked radio because of all the great music that was never recognized on it, not because one single artist missed out on number 1 because of it
He also was one of the first to deepthroat billboard
You mean to tell me an artist who has experienced supreme success played nice with the company that showcased that success? Then when he went against the wishes of the radio giants with exclusive streaming deals, he noticed how they basically tried to undermine him? Crazy talk balooey

I never cared for radio. That's my point nobody in the cared 15 years cared enough to talk about it

Sounds like someone who doesn’t have a lot of foresight

i mean brah they was playing nice during dat time and da grammys was busy watching dot do interpretive tap dancing as an intermission between taylor swift awards ofc he had 2 bra

he'll never have a pic like this at the grammys (which hes deserved) so he had 2 do what he had 2 do brah i would too

This would make sense if dot was dropping trash but he dropped one of the greatest albums of any genre so why use him as a scapegoat when there’s tons of other artists you could pick

It was views tbh before CLB. Never sold a million again lol

billboard is more objective about of an accolade because it’s based the criteria is based off numbers and not the opinion of your peers and other music industry folk no ?
it makes sense why he was dominant during this time period
Why do y’all want “popular = Grammy” so badly
Even tho it basically has been that regardless
radio overplaying new songs instead of old songs wouldn't change the reality that almost none of the songs are hits.
chart position doesn't matter when we've had many #1s over the past five years that have had no cultural dominance and are only remembered by chart stans. really, there's nothing anyone can do to change that, even if you eliminate radio from the equation altogether.
I accepted 20 years ago that I’m sure there’s millions of people that like what I don’t like
I’m sure Ordinary is huge in some spaces, it didn’t just spawn with 75 million radio
This would make sense if dot was dropping trash but he dropped one of the greatest albums of any genre so why use him as a scapegoat when there’s tons of other artists you could pick
I mean if you wanna go deeper and darker, pGLang is partnered with cashapp/squared (aka investment money) and they produce marketing packages for unsavory billionaires and NGOs, dot is as rebellious as a 80s British punk band
People keep making the lack of new interest a radio problem when it’s really not. If you look at the highest streamed songs on US Spotify this past week, the Top 20 is just as dire at the Hot 100’s. People at large are generally not gravitating towards most new mainstream music. Complaining that the radio is to blame is basically saying that radio should be inorganically manufacturing these newer songs to seem more popular than they actually are by playing them all day
I mean Radio def needs to be capped as a percent of streams/sales at the very least no reason songs charting with 25 million radio and 10k streams and 15 sales

Yeah every huge artist is a corporation, I would never pretend like Kendrick is a freedom fighter or get mad when he doesnt chart

Is it the chicken or the egg?

I ain’t know this
Is it the chicken or the egg?
