Apple Music is much more hip-hop oriented and also has a way smaller userbase than Spotify.
As of May 2023, the highest streamed song ever on Apple Music was Shape of You with 930M streams. It’s possibly near a billion now, and I’d be shocked if it doesn’t come in at #1 on this list.
That’s maybe one song that has 1B streams on Apple Music. Meanwhile, Spotify has 992 songs with at least 1B streams
It’s just a thing of US vs Global, Apple has only slightly less US subscribers than Spotify, but Spotify has way more globally
lol I love the hoops they jumped through and clever way they worded this one so they can get this tweet off
Props
"Most streamed solo rap song" ? How is that hoops/clever?
It would reveal how small their userbase truly is. I think they only have one song over a billion streams, and barely at that, in Shape of You. As of May 2023, it had 930M
you're constantly s*** talking a streaming platform which is #1 with your own demographic, culture & community, odd

I don't ever wanna hear nothing about numbers again if this bullshit goes through!
Judging by their top songs, it seems like Apple Music was more popular from 2015 to 2019 (?)
you're constantly s*** talking a streaming platform which is #1 with your own demographic, culture & community, odd
Nobody is s*** talking it lmao it's just a fact that Apple Music is very small compared to Spotify
It would've probably flopped without Drake

Fader is constantly talking down AM as a platform when AM is the reason so many rappers are so big, and US centric acts like morgan too
morgan is tiny on spotify compared to AM but yea who cares, white media >>

How am I s*** talking? I literally have used Apple Music since it released in 2015
The UI is better, sound quality is better, and it’s way easier to import local files than on Spotify.
It’s just an objective fact that it’s nowhere near as big as Spotify and 1000x more US dominated, that’s why they don’t publicly reveal their stream counts

Someone asked why they still aren’t revealing their stream counts and I explained why. You’re just taking it personally for some weird reason
Weren’t you the one that spend months this year posting daily Spotify totals every single morning at the crack of dawn to hate watch artists you don’t like?

Morgan is NOT tiny on Spotify lol country artists are booming on US Spotify lately
Spotify is just way bigger than AM. I'm 100% sure he has way bigger numbers on Spotify overall than on AM. One of the reasons why Apple will never reveal their stream counts
No way this nigga got his cape on for a billion dollar streaming service at 9:42 AM

I think it's pretty funny how he's trying to say that Morgan Wallen is bigger on AM than on Spotify
Not in the slightest lmaoo
Spotify is also bigger in the US too
"In the US, Spotify has approximately 55 million paid subscribers, while Apple Music is estimated to have around 30 million."
AM is just very focused on US rap and thats pretty much it

It’s worse, you arguing with an European who is coping for American numbers
It’s worse, you arguing with an European who is coping for American numbers
Yeah nevermind I forgot about that already
drake has debuted with 1.3m streams on US spotify, which should be good enough for a top five debut on the hot 100. i dunno about #1, depends on how well it holds up.

You might be right that without Drake, Apple Music probably would’ve gone under by now. They’re lucky he didn’t go with Spotify exclusivity for Views

his latest did 200m on spotify
the album did 462m overall
spotify is only bigger with the casuals (pop fans). AM is bigger for country+ rap

iv just noticed you're always celebrating white media whilst tearing down black media, it's just interesting

Exactly. Drake made it cool to subscribe to AM in 2016. Outside of this Apple is barely doing promo for the streaming service anyway

There are more than 2 streaming services lil boy
Morgan is still bigger on Spotify overall and outside of this I don’t care about that white music

The highest streamed artist on Spotify is black and the highest streamed song is by a black artist. What the f*** are you talking about?

Nigga thinks streaming totals are just Apple Music + Spotify
