I try not to be so blatantly on one side or another of the Drake vs. Kendrick s*** in here because I genuinely am a big fan of both artists.

However, I really don't get why I've seen a lot of Drake fans in here diminish physical sales for artists who ACTUALLY have streaming on their side as well.

Also, I honestly think Drake's FAILURE to capitalize on physical sales first week is more embarrassing considering the scale of artist he is within North America.

He could literally be doing 500K+ easy FW if he actually cared to do such and not haphazardly finalize albums last minute as he has with his last few solo releases. It was only until NOW post-beef that Drake seemingly cares about physicals again since he's not clearly the undisputed biggest at the moment.

The "last minute" criticism isn't exclusive to Drake—Carti lol—but it's just so ODD to see the discrepancy between someone like him and Taylor in terms of things like these as being #1 and #2 artists in NA.

Travis Scott is literally the only Hip-Hop artist who moves like that AND he also matches that with his streaming numbers so I'll never try and downplay Trav for that (albums-wise, not singles lol).

TBH it kinda just seems more like a long-run physicals play since a lot of those records are getting some sort of storefront exclusivity versions like with Urban Outfitters
