And I showed you jumping and being a cheerleader when GNX charting was compared to colossal albums with no context
It wasn’t being compared to them, it was stating a fact
It wasn’t being compared to them, it was stating a fact
And it is also a fact $$$ is going on 11 consecutive weeks top 5…
They're having to heavily discount a lot of seats & do promotions only a few shows in
I really think people are starting to get tour fatigue now, there's too many of them competing with each other, people have limited cash. 2-3 years ago (just after covid) there was way less competition
Do you even know the costs associated and whether they are making profit on the shows to be saying that so confidently

It's gibberish. The is literally performing at a level only seen from handful of artists in history. S*** is groundbreaking for hip hop.
You argue with users 24/7. It's very unsettling opening this thread hoping to see a charts update only to see you arguing with someone else.
No, I argue with the same 3 users over and over and over again. Keep the same energy for them that you keep for me.
If you wanna say all of us are ruining the thread with the constant arguing, cool. But don’t pick and choose and single niggas out when it takes two people to have an argument, especially when I’m not even the only user that routinely argues with those three

Cause you usually at the center of everything and like dragging out any argument the longest
^does he not realize he’s still going back and forth with me, furthering an argument that could’ve ended an hour ago?

you in here as much as fader tho lol it’s always you two arguing for months now

Haven’t had a convo with him in weeks before he came in here starting nonsense today lol.
Now how many other ppl do you think he’s argued with in the past weeks since we spoken?

This is just a blatant lie

I try not to be so blatantly on one side or another of the Drake vs. Kendrick s*** in here because I genuinely am a big fan of both artists.
However, I really don't get why I've seen a lot of Drake fans in here diminish physical sales for artists who ACTUALLY have streaming on their side as well.
Y'all are treating Hurry Up Tomorrow like it's the Ghost album
While I do acknowledge that the longevity of that album with a sustained hit—I'm not counting Timeless—is certainly not there, it just feels like another way to flame the fuels of tension between artists and that's fine but at least just say that lol.

Also, I honestly think Drake's FAILURE to capitalize on physical sales first week is more embarrassing considering the scale of artist he is within North America.
He could literally be doing 500K+ easy FW if he actually cared to do such and not haphazardly finalize albums last minute as he has with his last few solo releases. It was only until NOW post-beef that Drake seemingly cares about physicals again since he's not clearly the undisputed biggest at the moment.
The "last minute" criticism isn't exclusive to Drake—Carti lol—but it's just so ODD to see the discrepancy between someone like him and Taylor in terms of things like these as being #1 and #2 artists in NA.
Travis Scott is literally the only Hip-Hop artist who moves like that AND he also matches that with his streaming numbers so I'll never try and downplay Trav for that (albums-wise, not singles lol).

You see it.
For as popular as he is, he should easily be able to move 300-400K+ in physical copies first week. It’s utterly embarrassing that he can’t, no matter how the stans try to excuse it.
They clown Travis but he’s the only rapper actually taking game from these pop artists

Hurry Up Tomorrow is definitely not performing well in the long term, but it’s insane that they refuse to acknowledge the major first week success that it was, or they just straight up make conspiracies that it wasn’t real
I will bet a one week mute that $$$4U doesn’t do more than 50K in pure sales the week that those vinyl release

TBH it kinda just seems more like a long-run physicals play since a lot of those records are getting some sort of storefront exclusivity versions like with Urban Outfitters

It's still interesting that he chooses do that for this album and not everything he's done in the past few years—at least on this widespread of a scale.
Last really big physicals push for him was with Scorpion, but even that was essentially what he's just doing for $$$4U rn and not anything crazy during the FW.

It’s pretty easy to tell that he can see the writing on the wall, even if his stans don’t want to admit it.
Nobody is doing major numbers through streaming only anymore. The game has changed

Chill out
