My thing is this.... it feels like y'all care too much about the numbers to the point it's hard to value your subjective opinion on music
So in any discussion from now the people that care too much about numbers will call This new Kendrick album a 'flop album' instead of discussing the actual quality of the album. Which should obviously be thr most important thing even if you care about the numbers
The numbers can suggest just people aren’t f***ing with it, the album ain’t bad but if this was made by anyone other than Kendrick people would be clowning on it, he just gets a free pass

People were singing Future’s praises when he sold less.
Didn’t see one person say he flopped.
People don’t keep it consistent.
The numbers are less then what most people thought but so was Adele’s and she did alright considering she still had the highest selling album of 2021 just like how Kendrick now has the highest selling album of 2022 so far.
I feel like people aren’t genuine in these threads and just use it as an opportunity to troll about any artist that isn’t their favourite.

No, I was arguing with people who claim that the album was bad because of the sales numbers when those two clearly aren’t indicative of each other. Never once actually defended the numbers because I honestly don’t care that much. I think It’s Almost Dry is a great album and it didn’t even top 100k (but did get #1).
The point does matter and it’s completely correct.

CLB didnt have a lead single or in fact much promo at all and he still doubled Mr L.
