AM is trash because they're not transparent imo
Sometimes they announce first day streaming numbers (for Ye and Drake last year) and thats it lmao
Same can be said for the several other streaming platforms that don't release daily/weekly numbers.
This site has a need for comparison. You’ll find it in any thread
The fact the only person they can compare him to Drake says it all tbqfh.
They're not more legit than IFPI which tracks streams/sales across every music market in the world before coming up with their lists of the biggest songs/albums/artists every year. They take so much time tabulating the data that their lists don't drop till March the following year lol. Trying to talk down on their data is pointless and foolish. They're as legit as legit gets.
Tru. Will take a look then
Bad bunny is on par with drake tbh. He may or may not be bigger globally. Doesn't make a difference to me. If Drake or bad bunny were create a character in a video game they would have 10/10/10 stats on every single category. There both great imagine arguing about this s***.
He isn't bigger than Drake. That's a fact.

Every streaming platform should be transparent in my opinion. I hate when they hide the numbers for no reason

That's fine Imagine me giving a f***. He's still the s*** and definitely on par with him maybe even better at the moment. He's fresh and exciting. We've seen just about every trick up drake's sleeve by now. Drakes been on cruise control for a minute now.

They don't have to be. Spotify does that and it'd be nice if others did as well but there's no rule stating they can't keep their numbers internal.

What does any of this have to do with him being bigger than Drake? Lmao. I think he's fresh and exciting as well.
Imagine comparing an artist who blew up in 2018 to an artist who blew up in 2009, of course he'll be more exciting and fresh. He's newer lmao.

Nothing that's not something I care about. And I don't understand why you guys give a f*** either.

Why you in the thread about sales then?
Kendrick Lamar blew up in 2012 right? And he still manages to remain fresh and exciting and I know for a fact we haven't seen all the tricks up his sleeve.
This comparison is so trash anyway
People should praise Bad Bunny more because he's about to be a f***ing superstar in the US despite not even making music in english. He's one of the people who made it already
There's a reason why latin artists mostly struggling becoming big in the US

This all started from me asking who was going to have the bigger album debut between Bad Bunny and Jack Harlow. It remained that way until people came in here talking about Bad Bunny being bigger than Drake and only using Spotify numbers as their proof of that and then I offered more legit proof disputing that and here we are.
Why you in the thread about sales then?
Cause I was gonna comment that bunny is gonna s*** on Harlow. When Drake and bad bunny release I'll probably be in here rooting for bunny but could care less what happens tbh
You people know Spanish to know if Bad Bunny is mid? It's not something I can even state

It's super weird to me that Bad Bunny doesn't get a single mention from the IFPI report. I mean how tf is Olivia Rodrigo bigger than him worldwide? Doesn't make any sense to me but it is what it is

I know Spanish and I can assure you that he is the s***.
They're much bigger because they're bigger than him in the US, which is the world's biggest music market lol.
Ok we'll agree to that, just that everywhere else; Bunny is top 3 minimum and #1 in almost all Spanish speaking countries. Wasn't he #1 Spotify for like 3 years in a row now? lol You can argue Drake, maybe Weeknd.
But don't give me Ed Sheeran is bigger than Bad Bunny in 2022 because the hotel lobby keeps playing Shape Of You on their playlist lol It's a combination of streams/sales, tours, Merck and just overall buzz. I'd argue Kanye is more popular than most people on that list, even if its for bad reasons lol Streaming only tells one side of "popularity". Pound for pound I'd go BTS, BB, Drake in that order due to the difficulty of doing it in a different language.

That goes for any artist making music that's non-english, buddy. It's hard for anyone to breakout in America.
Bad Bunny is a huge megastar, especially with how quickly he's managed to reach that status. No one is disputing that. I'd even say he's bigger than most US arrists because he can sell out massive venues globally but understand that when it comes to music consumption in the US, he's still far behind.
It's the same with how BTS can sell out stadiums in the US in record time and score #1 debuts, etc. That doesn't mean their music is being consumed nearly as much in the US like other US acts.
I know Spanish and I can assure you that he is the s***.
Obviously the best latin artist by far. There's a reason why he's so big outside of latin countries
