The performance of this album says absolutely nothing about Drake's current commercial standing because this was always going to be an album only a small subset of his fanbase engaged with anyways.
You said HUT also didn't have a clear hit and used that as an excuse for its streaming performance and agree this doesn't either but it should perform very well simply because it's by Drake?

The difference is 130K SEA is right in the ballpark of what Weeknd has always done in first week streaming. His highest ever first week streaming total is 163K units.
For this album to finish significantly under 200K would mean it would be Drake’s lowest first week streaming total by a pretty wide margin.
Hurry Up Tomorrow didn’t have a clear standout hit, but because of how many tracks there were, it remained stable enough to finish with basically the same exact amount of streams as Dawn FM: 171M.
All I’m saying is, based on the first day performance, this album SHOULD remain stable enough to reach the first week streaming total of Honestly, Nevermind at least. For it not to, there would have to be a major drop off in streams over the next week.

You're the one missing context. You can't use the numbers Drake puts up when he drops rap albums to judge how this album should perform or how much of a drop-off this album would be if it doesn't perform near to those numbers lol.
Again, I'm still projecting 150-200k first week for the album but like I said, Honestly, Nevermind had the benefit of having a clear, standout rap hit with Jimmy Cooks. The other song on that album that he rapped on, Sticky, also managed a top 10 debut. The third song off that album to debut in the top 10 was Falling Back and that's only because he dropped a music video for it. The actual dance songs never came close to the top 10 lol.
That's exactly what will happen with $$$4U. Also, your argument about it having more tracks and that being why it should at least put up Honestly, Nevermind numbers would make sense if it debuted with like 70-75M streams on Spotify. It did less than Honestly, Nevermind with 7 more songs lol. The album will fall off a cliff on streams during the weekend. That much is guaranteed. Now, if a song like Nokia should quickly take off, that might help with the drop-off in streams but I don't see that happening for a while, that's why I'm sticking to my 150-200k projection.

You don't know that. Every die hard Drake fan isn't a fan of his R&B stuff and most of Drake's fans are casual listeners. He doesn't have a rabid fanbase like Kanye or Taylor Swift. Most of his fans are casual listeners from the general public and those people prefer it when he raps or does melodic rapping. They don't care for his R&B s***. They never have. That's why all his R&B songs (even the most beloved ones within his fanbase) all flop on the charts lol.
It's not because the songs are bad or because some people don't like them. The people who like them simply aren't the majority of his fan base and so their listens don't register as massive numbers. That's it.
