no way you said Kendrick released less music when Drake didnt even drop a project lmao cmon man

Career wise dummy. Drake has dropped 7 more albums than Kendrick.

Why do you think Drake got so many streams? He’s put out 15+ weedplates.

he ate pasta off a Spotify plaque lmao

not saying the weeknd doesnt post more, but its not like Drake doesnt engage in social media antics at all

That happened YEARS ago and many celebs followed suit. Still, not a good example of how that plays into why he's as successful as he is in the US. He's always been massive in the US, even before social media was a thing.

i get that but he still did it. again, im not arguing that those antics play into why he sells as much as he does, he was gonna sell either way

i was just saying he’s very much a celebrity figure but doesnt follow the typical celebrity trends. his online persona has largely contributed to his celebrity status is all i was getting at

Name the things he engages in that you'd categorize as "celebrity" behavior.

Basically, anything that gives him significant public exposure

You’re right, he doesn’t attend award shows (anymore) or events like the Met Gala, but hardly anyone watches those events nowadays anyway

Drake primarily leverages new media to stay in the spotlight. Streaming with XQC, Adin, FaZe Clan etc and doing interviews with youtubers gives him far more exposure than attending the Met Gala or the Grammys ever would

It's impressive but it just shows how hard rap songs are always falling off around 500-600 million streams

You need to have a 100% perfect rap hit to reach over 1 billion streams
