We just gotta accept that 300k is the ceiling for a 12 track album(no bundles)

His streams per song is massive.

This is what I’m saying. Niggas are judging a 12 track album’s sales like it’s a 25 song double album

If you dropping 12 songs via streaming only, anything in the 300K range is a major W

  • Nov 26, 2024

these Drake stans had to witness 1 stake livestream 2 beef lawsuits and 1 communist party donation since this album dropped and they wanna gaslight us into thinking 260k sales in pure streams in less than a week is somehow an L for kdot and a W for drake

Cole’s last three albums first week numbers in streaming units:

    4YEO: 129K (177 million streams)
    KOD: 223K (323 million streams)
    The Off-Season: 245K (325 million streams)

None of these albums had record breaking streaming weeks, because they were all short albums.

Kendrick ain’t even smashing the record for most streams for a 12-track album tho so. Surely this should be the most successful 12-track album of all time right?

    it really did

Crazy because the entire rollout for it was just "I'm rapping better than everyone right now" lmfao

It felt like a tape, and I don't even rank it that high in Cole's discography but the people loved it. I wonder how The Fall Off will do

  • Nov 26, 2024

    Quack quack b****

  • Nov 26, 2024

So both Kendrick and Drake's last albums flopped

    1. The final projections are not out, it could easily debut a bit above 325

    2. Name me another rapper debuting in 2024 with 325 million+ off 12 songs. Cole damn sure couldn’t do it

Streams per song is a garbage metric. Tack four more songs onto the tracklist and the streams per song go down 25%

Her Loss did 513M US streams and that was Drake's second drop of 2022. Stop it with the excuses.

Yeah if the four additional songs receive a total of zero streams

it would’ve been a lot funnier to clown on this projection if Drake didn’t file those lawsuits

Also a collab album and had a delay n about a month's worth of rollout which all contributed to its streams

Tyler only did like 150K in streams, half of his total was physicals and bundles

i swear tho a kendrick stan has to step back and ask themselves.

The Off-Season did the same amount of streams as GNX, with the exact same song count.

the difference is, cole did not have the best streaming year of his career (allegedly, lawsuit pending), streaming records broken left and right with the most popular diss song of all time (allegedly, lawsuit pending), a superbowl announcement, grammy nominations, interview with elitist white publications

wow maybe cole is the goat actually

Also gotta note that the Off Season has ZERO attempts at a hit like tv off or squabble up or peekaboo. It's just Cole straight rapping his ass off for 12 songs.
