Cuff It, Break My Soul, and Texas are bigger radio jams than pretty much any Drake hit besides maybe Toosie Slide(which didn't age well).

Drake, of course, has her beat in the streaming department but streaming doesn't really reflect how much broad appeal a song has these days. It can but it's no longer automatic.

You must really not know the charts if you think:
1. Beyoncè has more crossover hits than Drake this decade and
2. 'Toosie Slide" is his biggest crossover hit this decade.

First off, Beyoncè doesn't have more crossover hits than Drake this decade. Second, Toosie Slide is not his biggest crossover hit this decade — songs like "Laugh Now Cry Later" and "Wait 4 U" performed a lot better across multiple formats compared to "Toosie Slide."

You also have to realize that as a result of how we all consume music today, music has generally been decentralized. I'm sure you recall a time in music when the #1 song in the US was so undeniable as a hit that even if you didn't care for the song or the artist, you heard it everywhere you went, regardless of what circles you moved in. That's not the case anymore. I think the last #1 hit record to really capture that quality was "Old Town Road." Every major #1 hit this decade has been huge on the charts but you go around in real life and it's tons of people who don't know the song.

I wouldn't have admitted to this myself until it happened with Morgan Wallen's "Last Night." That song spent 16 weeks at #1 and I never heard it even once anywhere I went. I only knew about it because I played Morgan Wallen's album a lot and because I follow the charts. As big as "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" is, I bet it's the same thing for hundreds of millions of people in the US, and that song is a bonafide crossover hit. Things are just different now.

No, he isn't. He still needs a couple mainstream hit records before that comparison can be made. He doesn't have any of those yet. Is he a star? Yes, absolutely. A superstar? As silly as it may seem to say, no, he isn't yet.
