There really hasn’t been many huge mainstream rap albums this year (last year as well).

Among the highest selling albums this year, there are only four rap albums in the Top 30. We Don’t Trust You, For All the Dogs, Utopia, and American Dream. Two of those released last year.

Hip hops acts like Drake, Tyler, Travis and even Carti get more attention in the first week than most pop acts
