Dua Lipa could've easily released that
Yeah she can do something like this but he cant
Pretty funny how whenever Weeknd is outsold, you come up with all these excuses and think its all justified
But when Weeknd outsells someone & someone points out all the reasons why, you're like wahhhhh THAT DOESN'T MATTER! IT'S IRRELEVANT
mf can't help but show his biases lol
those tyler bundles were all CD bundles btw which are nowhere near as effective as vinyl bundles
It’s like the words are going over your head
The reason Dawn stands out sales wise in Weeknd’s career is because it’s the outlier in his career; it’s his only studio album that didn’t have the support of physical copies first week.
Sure, vinyl bundles are more effective than CD bundles. But… okay? IGOR had vinyl bundles and sold less first week than CMIGYL and Chromakopia doesn’t have any vinyl first week bundles.
Yeah thinking something that already happened can repeat is really crazy insane
regardless its not happening becuase Tyler isn't a slave to numbers like the Weeknd, it's a shame the weeknd can't be more like drake/tyler and care more about just dropping music tbh
It’s not happening again because Hurry Up Tomorrow has the support of physical copies first week bozo. That’s the whole point. CMIGYL only outsold Dawn because Dawn had no physical sales, it’s Weeknd’s ONLY studio album that didn’t have that first week, hence why the first week numbers were so low and why it’s a relevant point to make when talking about that album’s commercial performance.
It’s like if Taylor Swift or Adele dropped an album tomorrow with no physical copies eligible first week and then they only sold 300K first week. It would be relevant context to bring up about that album. I wouldn’t make the assumption that Travis Scott is bigger because Utopia outsold them, that’s ludicrous.
And lol at thinking Drake isn’t a slave to numbers
Charli's debuted at #3???
Charli's debuted at #3???
Not a debut, think it is it's 19th week
Deluxe sales are combined with main album
Billboard will disqualify sales if they find they are fraudulent
Probably what happened since HDD had Jelly Roll and Charli closer
Charli's debuted at #3???
those in the title are old, the latest projections had Charli and Jelly Roll battling for #1 around 150 each

Elsewhere in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, Rod Wave secures his seventh consecutive top 10 – the entirety of his charting efforts – as Last Lap debuts at No. 2, Charli XCX’s Brat bounds 14-3 (matching its debut and peak rank) after a deluxe reissue
Again, not a debut for charli tho

rod did good for himself too. his 4th straight 100K+ first week.
130 -> 115 -> 137 -> 127
charli did well too, she did better this week (her 19th week) than her first week (77k)

BRAT platinum by the top of next year is amazing.
BRAT platinum by the top of next year is amazing.
i think its even more impressive it did 500K in 1 summer.
it really was a brat summer
also i missed glorilla having the best first week of her career and highest fw for a female rapper in 2024.
this sales week was a W for everyone lmao great week
Charli fans doing the absolute most all week, whole time she was fighting for #3 (again) lmao
Great numbers for Glo

you're in for a shock with this new album unless he pulls gimmicks lol (inevitable after the desperation plays he did for AH with a new bundle every day)
You still haven't faced the reality that no artist sells pures anymore except taylor/adele. Dawn FM sold like 30k pures the first week they shipped lol

Hurry Up Tomorrow already surpassed Dawn FM’s first week pure sales in just 5 days (meaning it did at least 15K already in physicals alone). Plus he dropped a special edition vinyl that was limited and only available for three days.
I promise you this album is doing at least 100K in pure sales first week.
You’ve been wrong about Weeknd literally so many times in the past few years I don’t get why you act like you’re right

The fact it took 5 days for him to sell 15k shows things aren't as rosey as you think imo, there's no way he's gonna be doing close to 200k like a few of you guys think, unless he does that lame digital album s*** like travis
I'd say 50k-100k yeah but more than that isn't happening without travis level gimmicks
100k just in cds/vinyls will be a huge stretch too tbh
And you’re claiming that Jennie is the reason One of the Girls is popular… meanwhile neither Jennie nor BLACKPINK are in this top 10… while Weeknd is at #5
Not Like Us in the top 20 all the way to holiday season lol
then right after the christmas bombarding is over, i think it gets stuck right back up there through the superbowl.

I didn’t say he did 15K in 5 days, I said he did at least 15K since he surpassed Dawn FM’s total of 14K. Reading is essential.
You just hate The Weeknd and have been praying on your hands and knees for him to fail commercially in any way imaginable for the past few years, and none of us know why
