Yep, every fan of Carti knew this!

Acting like his fans aren't the type that are privy to this info and share it in discords lol

Drake does not have the pull he used to have with his new songs anymore after the Kendrick beef. There is no way a Carti song should be going number 1 on Spotify and Apple Music before a Drake song.

4batz was a plant. They got even Ye talking positive about him out of nowhere even has Ye and Drake features

lol I Think that's a sign he's not a plant if anything, as if Ye is gonna listen to an industry exec being like "ok bro go talk up 4batz!!"

ye has just been a clout w**** the last 3-4 years and talks about anyone poppin i swear

Starboy debuted at #40 and Blinding Lights fell to #52 in its’ second week.

A low debut for a Weeknd single means absolutely nothing

I'm not saying it means anything, i'm just saying it's weird.

Look at it like this, so many people view this guy as this generation's MJ, in terms of global popularity he's probably the closest

MJ was a popstar if The Weeknd was one too, do you really think if MJ was alive & at his peak dropping music in this scene rn it wouldn't be doing insane debuts? people were on their f***ing knees begging for anything from MJ

Lol no they asked him out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure they paid him for all of this s***, same with Drake.

Most obvious plant in a long time, I'm glad it failed

    A #1 debut doesn’t mean that a song is a hit.

    Slime You Out out now.

In the same way that a low debut doesn’t mean a song is a flop.

    Starboy out now.

slime you out still a moderate hit.

Def a lot of truth to it. Nicki pushed her deluxe back as well.

I think it’s because The Weeknd isn’t really famous as a celebrity at all. He’s never in the tabloids, no rumors about him, public life is virtually non-existent.

People are solely interested in him for the music, which is maybe why he’s able to score hits that chart years after their release and why he’s able to fill up stadiums worldwide.

Bruno Mars is sort of similar in that regard

His numbers are also proof that Spotify Monthly Listeners don't mean s***.

Spotify Monthly Listeners absolutely mean something, they just have no correlation with stream totals

They try to find any excuse to argue about that stat not mattering simply because Drake doesn’t lead in it

It obviously matters, it just has no correlation on stream totals because it’s a separate metric.

It’s like arguing that YouTube subscriber count doesn’t matter

no the point is it doesn't show how popular an artist is, unfortunately it;s the #1 metric for comparing artists popularity rn

That’s not true. The three artists that lead are extremely popular right now and can sell out stadiums worldwide.

If you look at the Top 10, the only name that really stands out is David Guetta, but he’s huge in the EDM space.

Every other act is a superstar who can sell out stadiums globally
