Post Malone also debutted in the streaming age and was doing insane numbers with his first 2 albums, but then he fell off fast as f***. In fact Stoney/Beerbongs weren't even doing half these Morgan numbers 3 years after their releases.

We're in a time where almost everyone's struggling to sell(Stream) albums yet Morgan is putting up absolutely insane numbers, not sure how you're finding a way to brush over that fact

This is Morgan's 3rd album and its been 17 months since release and it's still selling 64k a week whilst he has another album selling 37k a week

Post Malone's 3rd album was selling 23k/week after 17 months, with Beerbongs selling 13k. Like lets get real here lol

The Weeknd was selling out stadiums 12 months ago, yet I don't think he's selling more albums a week all combined than that 17 month old Morgan album lol.

as for the argument youre making, that its hard to be an albums seller/streamer today, given the examples weeknd & posty.. well heres the thing: theyre singles artists. Post has 8 diamond singles and the weeknd has the biggest hit of all time and a 3rd biggest hit of the decade.. theyre not nearly as albums-oriented as a country act.

albums-oriented artists do exist, like bad bunny, or even olivia Rodriquez. sure, theyre not big as morgan domestically, but the point is, albums-acts to continue to exist nowadays.

(and if you were to bring up "their recent albums are not nearly as successful", - that would be non pertinent, since thats more about how an artist and their team manage their careers to replicate continued success. the fact that Morgan managed this but they didnt, is unrelated to whether albums-focused acts can still thrive nowadays.)

exactly tho, being 3 albums in and still maintaining that level of success is extremely difficult and I don't think any new (debut in streaming era) artist has done it yet except Morgan. Post failed on Album 3, Olivia basically on Album 2, Doja on Album 2

Singles artists argument doesn't make sense to me since 95% of Morgan's sales are from streaming, which means all his songs are just racking up individual achievements too, he'll likely have 5+ diamond singles within the next year or 2 and destroy Post's record within 5 years tops
