That first week sales are not indicative of an album’s success. People on here are so quick to rush to calling things a flop without giving it time to breathe.

to be fair, drake has had a few songs with staying power this decade (laugh now, cry later, wait 4 u, and rich flex), but yeah for the most part he has been racking up these one week wonders.

I don’t think that’s how pop music works. Rollout is more important than the music “quality”, which is subjective. It was clear weeks ago that the hype just wasn’t there for this project. Anyone could’ve told you it was already a flop before it dropped
The music is all that matters because that's what people will be listening to for years to come. You can have the most bombastic rollout ever. If the music is trash or perceived to be trash, people won't return to it.
