Talk about manufactured
Good chance Ye can go #1 3 weeks straight
Nope.
A K Pop group is going number 1 this week iirc.
Such a shame. Kanye was gonna do what Drake couldn’t the last 5 years, which is have your project go #1 for longer than 1 week
This comment aged poorly.
Not to mention that even FATD didn't go number 1 for more than a week even when he included SH3.
Drake no longer being the most streamed artist on Spotify (lead credits) is really the end of an era
He had been #1 since like 2015
Nah. He's still the biggest rapper out.
Taylor's in her own league rn. It was bound to happen with her.
Funny how Ye Stans are all about the numbers now
Tbh, I think the stan wars on here are making a lot of people flip flop on sales.
Hell, this megathread started off as a subtle way to clown Kendrick's fw sales when MMTBS dropped. And Kendrick fans got defensive and brought up numbers when niggas was straight hating on him and calling him washed.
Steady hold w only streaming and 0 radio

No, this thread didn't start off as a subtle way to clown Kendrick's numbers. It started before MMATBS even got announced. Did you actually read the thread from the beginning or did you just repeat with you saw other users incorrectly say?

For All the Dogs spent 2 weeks at #1.

It started as a question pertaining to a delusional tweet from 1 Kendrick fan online .
But I get it. We've been through this before and this thread had evolved from that we can just forget about it now.
It's all good.

For most people its used as bait or trolling
For drake stans its their life
Do you guys think we'll see anyone take Scorpion's record as the most streamed album in the US first week anytime soon? It has been almost 6 years now and no one's come close except Drake w/ CLB 2.5 years ago
It did 745m, Midnights by Taylor did 549m so I doubt her next album comes close either. I can't see any of these newer artists ever hitting half of 745m
with how weird music's become I can't see anyone hitting it this decade, if taylor can't then no one can

Taylor will break it this April with her new album.

Ye tbh she might, this new one has a lot more tracks than Midnights i believe

It’s pretty impressive that any of the albums have come close at all considering none of them had God’s Plan and Nice For What leading into it lol

Midnights had 20 tracks. Her forthcoming album is set to have 16 tracks (17 if she drops a deluxe version on streaming because right now, the only deluxe set to be available are physical versions).
I don't see her coming anywhere close to 700M US streams with her forthcoming album or the one after that tbh. Maybe the album manages to cross 600M US streams but that'll be it.
As time passes, more people will eventually come to realize how crazy it was that both Scorpion and CLB debuted with almost 750M US streams and they're by the same person.

It seems like Spotify is booming right now tho, and not just in South America & Asia. If anyone can top Drake, it’s Taylor right now.

The record I'm referring to is the US record for Billboard, not the global record for Spotify. Taylor owns that record already.
