-Streaming platforms did everything they could that was possible to botch the album release. Album was taken down multiple times, Ye even posted about it.
-Donda wasn’t a collab album. Solo albums always do better, plus Donda had more songs.

Carnival needed massive streams to challenge for a #1 debut. It never came close to doing that. Most songs that aren't pushed as singles in the week of their release get 0 radio airplay. This is a common thing, not some industry agenda against Kanye West.

Another lie. Also, playlist placements aren't make or break. If a song is going to take off, it'll do so whether or not it gets playlist placements.

He was dropped from Adidas, has multiple lawsuits, no label support, multiple distributors refusing to distribute his album, had multiple arenas refuse to host him, had his listening party shut down by police, had Donna Summer withdraw her sample, had Ozzy Osborne withdraw his sample, etc. etc. but they’re acting like nothing is happening.
I mean he probably deserved all of those things but they’re still factors and the fact he was able to independently go #1 despite all of that is crazy. That’s all.
