Itβs not just a raw sales total though. Weβre combining a lot of different factors here.
Which is why MMLP isnβt really in the discussion because that album has aged terribly
This is a sales thread and you guys are talking about subjective quality and opinions
Interesting conversation, however don't forget
FATD objectively flopped

Itβs not all subjective though.
Objectively, Views does not have 4 singles on the level of Stronger, Good Life, Canβt Tell Me Nothing, and Flashing Lights

I don't think the numeric amount of hits disqualifies it, One Dance was huge. Can't think of the rest, but the album was definitely that level

But thatβs why weβre saying that albums like Grad and GRODT are in a different tier than albums like Carter 3 and Views.
Classic albums that sold well with a legit handful of successful singles vs. classic that sold well with maybe only 1 or 2 smash hits
Oh mental illness just entered the thread
It was a good run
She posted that like anyone claimed that Graduation sold more
We know Views sold more, we were having a more layered discussion though

I don't think this disqualifies it though, just seems like different circumstances for two albums lmao

You yourself said albums like Views and Carter 3 were in a different tier from albums like GRODT. I just said that Grad belongs in the category with GRODT

Graduation having 4 (which can be debated) huge singles doesn't necessarily separate it from Views

How can it be debated?
Stronger, Good Life, Canβt Tell Me Nothing, and Flashing Lights are all timeless hit records.
Views has one of those at worst, two at best if weβre counting Hotline Bling

Flashing Lights peaked at 29 while Good Life peaked at 7 for instance, I agree those are timeless though
I don't understand this point of bigger singles, when Views as an album is still as big as Grad
