I agree with budden somewhat bc the drake I want is the same as him but I know for a fact that Drake is not moving anywhere close to the amount of units lol

Is it because he works on the albums down to the wire & so can’t have physicals pressed?
meltdown wasn't on utopia physicals so i'd have to assume drakes own album is changing down to the last minute
i also think it could be drake wanting to prove he doesn't need to pull gimmicks to sell records

He’d get cooked if he did it especially now and also he’s just lazy when it comes to selling physicals and they mix to the last minute.

nah, they were definitely available first week for $5
They were not. The first $5 discount came on August 7th with the livestream ticket, that was four days after the first tracking week for the album had already ended. Album released on July 28th.

Music consumption is down overall. Drake's previous release was just last year. 4th project in three years. Zero bundles, fan-packs, box-sets, vinyls, CDs. To do 400k+ SEA is insane and trying to downplay that is dumb
People will do it, sure, but that doesn't mean it isn't dumb
