it’s probably gonna be like try that in a small town where it gets number 1 for one week then drop like a cliff
They are fueled by iTunes purchases which don't last when people ain't actually listening to the music
Snitch Gunna is carrying YSL, Atlanta, and Hip-Hop as the last man standing in the top ten
Ice Spice and Nicki winning as usual still
Charts have always represented majority white demographics. They are just listening to more country and pop now instead of hip hop like in 2018 so it’s being reflected
i wish they were at least consistent and started stanning country lmao
goes to show numbers only matter depending on the agenda that needs to be pushed

Yea like at least last night by Morgan wallen is getting crazy streams on all platforms consistently these songs just get mass streamed for one weeks then it kinda disappears

This one is actually being streamed and charting heavily on iTunes and Spotify and gained millions of views on youtube.
This isn’t a protest buy like TTIAST.
I know its hard to admit that mainstream trends are shifting away from hip hop as the cultural zeitgeist
& country niggas dont even have to kill each other to get lit. their stars will be around forever
You know how much better off the industry would be if it had this much control over things lol
it’s an agenda

Oh I can admit that hip hop won’t be THE genre for too long anymore, but this song just don’t seem like a staying power one. like TTIAST hit number 1 on Apple Music too and got good streams in Spotify and YouTube for like a week then it fell off after the first week. So I’m have to wait and see how it holds after this week
Close this f***ing thread lol
it was always a drake fanpage disguised as charts thread. move to drake sxn
Now we just lying lmao "if xxx was good how come it sold xxx" "xxx must be good if it's still selling"
you just made two different statements
charts ≠ sales
you niggas covertly do it all the time, please stop it man
nope. charts do not equal sales. Also some music isnt even on streaming...

FWIW its seems a lot more listenable than TTIAST (that opening guitar riff makes my ears bleed) so it’s got that going for it lol

That’s fair this song seem more listenable lmao

They are not 2 different statements because those things are intertwined. Where you sell has a place on the charts

okay, what’s the goal of the agenda?
they’re tryna blame the consumers for their own f***ups
if the suits don’t care then the artists don’t care then the public don’t care
it all starts at the labels but they’ve been tryna shift it on the people for not f***ing with these artists lol

a lot of the hot 100 is based on radio.
…
its true when people get 100 million radio... I have never said x charted higher than y so its better btw.
I literally have Kant Nobody as song of the year

has nothing to do with what i initially said
this entire thread was originally a kendrick hate thread saying he wasn’t going to sell over 500k, then when the numbers came out and he did way under that, people were using that to detract from the album
to say that no one itt uses sales to inflate their opinions on music is wrong, esp. when that’s why this thread is even partially so big in the first place

No it isn't it's streams and sales majority. Your fav artist has gotten singles to #1 off people buying it and the same thing happened with that maga ass track last week lol

radio is a huge factor in the chart. Especially for chart longevity. People can buy the song but without radio it wont chart long.
