He really wants the 2017 W
Meanwhile other Kendrick fans have folded
It's so obvious.
We aren't being unbiased as well. We're just stating facts.
Nothing any of you Drake stans have said so far have been anything resembling facts
Niggas act like I’m here claiming Kendrick beats Drake every year that’s not the case
If it was a 12 round fight, Drake’s won literally 11 rounds, why’s it so hard for y’all to admit that Kendrick got the 1
CAUSE MORE LIFE WAS A SIDE PROJECT
How is it Drake's fault that a project he CLEARLY STATED WAS A SIDE PROJECT GOT THE SAME ANTICIPATION AS A STUDIO ALBUM? F*** yes, it did, it's Drake. Everyone anticipates anything he drops lol. Doesn't change the fact that it's still a side project because he made sure to tell us that it was.
Like I said earlier, if Drake had confirmed the release of IYRTITL/WATTBA/DLDT months before they dropped like he did with More Life, they'd have been anticipated like albums, too
I already broke down why those three projects are very different from More Life, and why More Life is much more akin to his studio albums than those three projects are. You’re being purposefully dense
I thought I was the only one who noticed this
I peeped the racism and xenophobia in this thread.
Y’all hate to see my people run the charts
Wait until you see Bad Bunny’s year end numbers.
CAUSE MORE LIFE WAS A SIDE PROJECT
22 songs, high profile features, lead single, pop crossover appeal.
Kendrick won 2017. Drake wins 11-1. It’s okay y’all.
Imagine that Drake posts on IG saying "I have a mixtape dropping in time for the summer. Can't wait to share this new music with you guys!" Even if he doesn't give a specific date, do you think hype and anticipation won't immediate build for that project, despite it being a mixtape? And if that happens, do you think that all of a sudden makes that project no longer a side project because it's got a ton of hype? Like what is dude is even saying? I'm so lost.

So you think its okay to compare a literal STUDIO album to a late-released side project? This is a serious question.

More Life is the farthest thing from a mixtape.
IYRTITL is a mixtape.
WATTBA is a mixtape.
DLDT is a mixtape, although it’s closer to a B-sides.
More Life is an album that was promoted as a “playlist”, so y’all won’t count it

And they already broke down the concept of More Life as a project, how it was specifically made to be, and how its release getting 5 days worth of tracking is the only reason this pointless discussion involving sales between the two is being had to begin with.
It's a stupid "W" and "L" angle.

I’m just comparing what the projects are.
I’m just comparing what the projects are.
But is it OKAY or FAIR to compare them as equals?
But is it OKAY or FAIR to compare them as equals?
Absolutely. More Life has everything that a Drake studio album is besides the actual label of an album.
IYRTITL, DLDT, and WATTBA are all clearly side projects/mixtapes.
More Life is the only one of those that resembles a studio album, even though it actually isn’t.

Damn his two best projects since Take Care mixtapes

No it doesn’t. You can’t point to any objective measure of why those resemble side projects but More Life is more akin to a studio album
Damn his two best projects since Take Care mixtapes
Yeah that’s the most ironic thing about all of this.
The Drake stans claiming it doesn’t count but it’s probably his best project since 2015

Okay, you think it should, for reasons stated, and I think it shouldn’t because, although it has the reasons you stated its missing several components that a studio album has:
1) Proper backing from the label
2) Marketing across platform
3) Promotion from lead artist
4) Accurate release time.
Therefore, DAMN has a strategic advantage in its release. The closest Drake project you could compare were the ones that dropped the year before (Views) and after (Scorpion) DAMN, which were STUDIO albums and on equal footing.
