Surprise Album is a nice cope but doesn’t explain why the streams dropped 80% over the next week.

The dance album narrative doesn’t explain why the atrocious broadway skit We Cry Together outstreamed 11/14 songs on the album so far.

Its actually pretty simple. Drake dropped an album ‘the public’ doesn’t like and flopped hard.

Thanks for articulating this. It's important the sales thread remain sales focused and not just a partisan battleground for Stans.

Men lie, women lie, numbers don't

Kendrick Lamar dropped a Schizo rap classic. After a 5 year absence and forgoing the mainstream appeal of DAMN, it never was gonna do the numbers people wanted it to.

i guess that's why no house album has ever done insane numbers right?

Donda 2 in mere months will reign supreme over all these luke warm drops.

CLB reception when it released was absolute garbage, everyone clowning it

so far it has sold 4x more copies than Bruno Mars latest album which everyone praised on forums & socials. Weird how that works

some bundles are fine some are ridiculous. Nav was selling vlone shirts 💀💀

    But that’s my point

    Why does it matter?

How is it ridiculous if fans wanted them?

Yeah, exactly, except Adele who sold 846K fw with her last album. But Drake stans have been non stop clowning fans of many of those artists and calling their music trash because of sales for months.

    New NIGHTMAN

    Something I’ve been thinking is

Unless you’re one of them people who takes sales way too seriously and treats music like a game

    Bundles are actually good

People buy merch and artists get an album sale

Stans who cried about it kinda ruined that s*** for everyone

Tbf, I think the decision to removed them was more so based on some artists selling fans bundles with digital album but the fans never recieve the bundled merch until like a year or 2 or not at all.

fr I just hope we get more artists inspired by Harry Styles & Bad Bunny's success from now on, tired of all this depressed music

Closer (Chainsmokers) spent 26 weeks in the billboard top 5. Dance songs can certainly be massive hits, Drake just wasn’t able to do it.

papi's angels, today is going to be a really difficult day. i would encourage people to use this day as a mental health day. contact loved ones, hang out with friends, watch that show you've been putting off. the online haters are gonna be out in full force today and it is not good for our mental health. be careful with yourselves okay? we're gonna get through this, we're going to be okay.

The Chainsmokers also sold 10K with their latest album so.

Closer was more of pop song anyway

Their latest album had zero hits and sucked though so that’s not really because it was a dance album.
