PAINMANDrake’s never been a crazy rapper like that he’s gotten by on aura and quirky punchlines and big boss quotables but as a technical skilled rapper Cole is on a whole different planet
NWTS was probably the most dialed in he was on that front
this tbh. he’s one of the greatest songmakers in history but once the aura wears off ur left w/ the same similes and setups across all his “confessional” type tracks. his best rapping performance is on war imo, he needs to do that more

ehhhh I used to think so but man, his “real rap” style gets kinda old and once it wears off on it doesn’t come back. kinda blends together ngl
it’s good and all but idk. he needs to switch it up because it’s making his other raps less impressive in retrospect
