The Valley is my most anticipated off of that one, but would love to hear Glory. Sadly, Glory does not seem to fit a Sunday Service album at all but The Valley better be on it
Agree, although it would be pretty great if we eventually got to hear glory since he played it for us smh

Yeah I understand Up from the ashes somewhat and LA Monster fully, but Glory was played the night before the album dropped and it sounded amazing, like come on now.

Well that's Kanye west for you, his genius is a double edged sword

will be on JIB
Lmao, I know nobody will agree with this hot take, but as much as MBDTF s***s on JiK as an album, as a film JiK was better to me. Obviously a lot of that has to do with Nick Knight's visual execution than the concept itself but still. I got goosebumps multiple times - the close up of the girl singing in the choir, when street lights ended and everyone walked away from the piano, the long shot of Kanye singing Use This Gospel at the end. And actually even tho Runaway attempts a narrative and more themes, JiK's theme is so strong, focused and integral to Ye's career and music that it comes off as a very special project for him.
I don’t think anyone who’s honest with themselves can deny this. Runaway film is cool but it very much feels like someone who is punching above their weight.
i just gotta say it, again
the fact the forum isnt sold out for a kanye show and theres that mean open seats is sad
it shows how the reception is for this album annd roll out unfortunately.
glad you guys are enjoying it, but i cant imagine a world where this happens a few years ago. show was cool, he started out reading off a piece of paper... ill watch the rest later

I think him doing it in the same city two weeks in a row with such little notice hurt the sales, but yeah it was sad that it wasn't very full tbh, especially with tickets only being $20 (plus the disgusting fees Ticketmaster adds on of course).

It's more about the fact its basically like going to church and not many people are into that. It's actually better this way, don't need people not interested in the service at the forum
ppl always say they want old kanye
follow god is the most old kanye song i've ever heard
he's finally found his roots (in christ) and it's paying off

True, didn't think about it like that though with Sunday Service attendance being so high among people that just want to see Kanye or experience it
Sunday Service Renditions of JIK so much better than the album versions
Jesus Is Born gonna be the real classic

True for the most part except Hands On is soooo much better in the studio version

Will JIK movie be visible for everyone? Like on youtube, just like Runaway film? Or no word of that yet

These high expectations for every album lol. Just wait and see if its good and eventually has the potential for a classic album

I was at the Howard Sunday Service and after hearing it live I don't really have a doubt.
I think Everything We Need and Jesus is Lord could've definitely benefited from being longer, but besides that I'm not really mad at the track times

Runaway is great for what it's being, but this was so much better visually and as a film.
Gotta love Kanye's ambition tho even back then
