1. My original idea was to lock her in my room & not let her have access to the balcony or the front door. In addition, I bought $150 worth of toys & frozen kongs & put on “TV for dogs”
For 8 hours. I figured this would make her hear less stimulation, but she still barked. I got a post-it note from my neighbor once I got home.2. SO NOW, I am using a bark collar (temporarily) which gives her a tiny shock if she barks. I tested out on myself & it’s a small jolt, nothing major at alll, and I started that this morning & it’s been good.
3. Obviously, though, I hate using negative reinforcement. So in addition to bark collar, I’m giving her treats each time she doesn’t bark on the balcony or when I leave the apartment. We’ve been doing this for 2 hrs straight now & it’s been going real good. I doubt I’ll have to use that bark collar for long thank GOD!!!
Have you tried tiring Luna out as well? Making her do a lot of exercise/longer walks? Maybe she has a lot of pent-up energy.

It’s very very temporary !!! I will only be away from home for 2 days out of the week, and I know she’ll get the hang of it to not bark soon. I just can’t risk getting evicted, seriously my neighbor is insane

Not much. But it’s a nice lil town next to Hillsboro. Never really heard anything bad about it. Like how Beaverton has s***ty traffic or how Lake Oswego is full of privileged snobs.
Only like an hour away from the coast, which is also pretty nice.

I have I walk her an hr before I leave for work each morning! The problem is I worked from home full time for a year, and now that i’m back in-office twice a week it has completely messed with her

I realllyyyy wish I could man, it’s so sad that a neighbor will complain about barking in a animal friendly complex. I even left my number on the door for her to contact me, but she never did
